The Rio Grande river starts in the mountains in Colorado and flows into the Gulf of Mexico. Along with being an international border between Mexico and the United States, the Rio Grande river creates the entire border between the U.S state, Texas, and Mexico. This river is the 5th longest river in the U.S and the 20th in the world. The Rio Grande river is extremely important to the economy in Mexico, as many of their money comes from their agriculture and the river's water is used as irrigation for much of the country.
