Appalachian Mountains
The Appalachian Mountains are the picture of exquisite beauty. These grandiose rolling hills stretch about 1,600 mlies from Newfoundland in Canada to Alabama in the United States, becoming the second largest mountain system. Once in Canada, this mountain range is then known as the Laurentian Highlands. The Mountains go through many areas and are home to numerous people and an abundance of wildlife. Within the Appalachian Mountains lies the tallest Mountain on the East Coast, Mt. Mitchell. The trees that cover a great part of the Mountains are deciduous and create dazzling scenic view when Autumn rolls around. The beauty is so admirable that many take a trail along the mountains, this trail extends from Georgia to Maine.
