The Gulf coastal plains are located around the Gulf of Mexico in the southeastern states. Rich soil is found along the plentiful rivers and pine trees are commonly found. Fishing, farming, and ranching are the typical job type in this area. The Atlantic coastal plain consists of wetlands and marshes, beaches, and forests. With the various environments, many animals call this region home. Alligators, deer, bears, crabs, snakes, and turtles are just a few.
