The Columbia river forms part of the border between two U.S states, Washington and Orgeon. Lewis and Clark, two well-known historical explorers, went along the Columbia river and into the Pacific Ocean. The Columbia river is the largest river in Northwestern region of North America. In the country, the Columbia river is the fourth largest by means of volume.
